Additional Services
FIRE SAFETY FOR OUTDOOR EVENTS
The owner started providing fire safety for outdoor events since 2008 and continues to do so across the Western Cape, including providing this service for AfrikaBurn since 2014. Other events have included ORIGIN, Earth Dance, Vortex, Up the Creek, Rocking the Daisies, Kinky Disco, We Love Summer, Beanstalk, Dusty Rebels, Equinox, Good Times Events, Little Gig and Resonance. Package costs include a site visit, Fire Safety Plan and firefighting resources as required.
WILDFIRE INVESTIGATIONS
With over 500 wildfire investigations completed along with numerous courtroom appearances, Enviro is able to provide comprehensive general information or forensic fire investigation reports and specialises in suspected ESKOM-related fires. It also has a significant understanding of the National Veld & Forest Fire Act and litigation matters. The long list of clients includes a diverse array of insurance companies, governmental agencies, environmental organisations, legal firms, and forestry services.
PRESCRIBED BURNING AND PLANNING
With many years of firefighting experience and a healthy understanding of wildfire behaviour, Enviro is able to provide planning advice and execution assistance for the conducting of prescribed burning operations.
FIREBREAK PLANNING, CONSTRUCTION AND MAINTENANCE
The owner has been involved in numerous firebreak planning and establishment projects across the Western Cape and have a healthy understanding of both the legal requirements and fire behaviour so as to advise on the placement of effective firebreaks.
THERMAL DRONE SURVEYS
Enviro has a fleet of camera drones to assist landowners with pre-burn planning, overview services during burning, and post-fire patrolling assistance. Their hi-resolution thermal camera drones are able to provide early detection of spot fires during fires and the patrolling of burn scar perimeters after the fire to search for and locate smouldering embers to reduce the likelihood of flare-up or rekindled fires.
FIRE MANAGEMENT PLANS
With the initiating of practical Fire Management Plans over 15 years ago, these documents are prepared in conjunction with the landowner to ensure that all objectives and goals are achievable to as to provide both legal cover and protection from unwanted wildfires that could threaten property and infrastructure.
FIREFIGHTING IN TIMES OF NEED
In times of need Enviro is able to provide landowners with firefighting assistance, especially to assist with the protection of infrastructure.

Enviro is able to advise and source firefighting equipment and PPE for landowners.
